RCF Endorsed Candidates

The following candidates were endorsed by Rock County First Political Fund because they met the qualifications and requirements set forth by the Candidates and Campaigns Committee.

The endorsed candidates have provided enough evidence that they align with the vision (protecting liberty and freedom in Rock County) and values (integrity beyond reproach and tangible lasting results).

Many races will have multiple seats up for election. Remember, you do not have to vote for the number listed on the ballot. Some races will say “vote 2”, but you can just vote for 1 and it will still be valid. Vote for only the people listed here that appear on your ballot. Don’t give the opposition more votes because you thought you had to!

Supreme Court Race

Normally Rock County First would not endorse a statewide candidate. However, given the focus of RCF is to support and hold accountable local government, the RCF board believes the Wisconsin Supreme Court race will greatly impact local government. Therefore, Rock County First Political Fund endorses Justice Daniel Kelly for Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Justice Kelly is an experienced justice with a proven record in fighting for and honoring the Constitution of Wisconsin. He is an exemplary justice and will serve well again in the Court.

Voter Qualifications

To be eligible to vote, you:

Must be United States citizen
Must be age 18 or older by Election Day
Must be a resident in an election district or ward for at least 28 consecutive days before an election
Must not be disqualified from voting under Wis. Stat. § 6.03, including, but not limited to:
- Being convicted of felony and still serving terms of the sentence
- Adjudicated Incompetent
- Placed a bet or wager on the outcome of the election

Getting On The Ballot

Local Candidates

There are important residency requirements for local candidates. Please review the Wisconsin Candidate Eligibility rules.

Some local offices are considered partisan which means that the candidate runs as a representative of a political party. Other offices are non-partisan which means the candidate does not run as a member of an political party because the expectation is that the office and officeholder are objective. Examples of each are listed.
